RICK PORTER
Strategy, Marketing & Campaign Management

Rick Porter started his career in Politics in 2004 working for US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Mel Martinez in his bid for the United States Senate. Porter first served as a Deputy Regional Field Director, with a focus on grass roots outreach and coordination of campaign events in the Central Florida area. He worked closely with community leaders, elected officials, and campaign staff to implement a strong ground game for Martinez's bid.
After victory in the 2004 election, Porter transitioned into Senator Martinez's state headquarter in Orlando where he became a staff assistant. There he served the Senator by engaging in outreach-oriented constituent services, advancing events for the Senator, and speaking on his behalf at local community organizations.
In 2007, Porter had the honor to serve America's Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, in his bid for the White House. Porter took the role of Deputy Florida Finance Director and assisted in organizing all fundraising activity in the State of Florida. In his time with the Mayor, Porter managed key relationships with some of Florida's top fundraisers. He also supervised high profile events with Donald Trump, NASCAR, and former RPOF and RNC Finance Chairs.
Upon Rudy Giuliani's exit from the 2008 Presidential election, Porter became the Finance Director for Bill Posey for Congress where he managed all aspects of fundraising. Following the successful conclusion of the Congressional campaign, Porter became the Senior Director of Development for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Central Florida Chapter. He broadened the scope of development for CFF while managing events, staff and major gifts in the local community.
In 2011, Porter acted as a finance consultant for Adam Hasner’s bid for US Senate and continued in that position when Hasner ran for US House in newly drawn Congressional district 22 (Palm Beach and Broward Counties). In that position, Porter raised over $3.3 million and coordinated all aspects of in-state and out of state fundraising for both campaigns.
In the 2012 election cycle, Porter also worked for Tim Pawlenty for President, Rick Perry for President, and Jeff Brandes for State Senate.
During the 2014 election cycle Porter successfully managed the Florida fundraising for State Senator Jeff Brandes’ reelection and Florida's Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater.
During the 2016 cycle, he served as the senior finance consultant for the Republican Party of Florida where he managed the Party’s staff and fundraising apparatus. During his leadership the Party’s annual Statesman’s Dinner saw the largest attendance in the past decade.
Most recently Porter served as the lead finance consultant on Ron DeSantis for Governor where he led a team of professionals that raised over $53 million in the General Election in the general election alone. Following the success of the election, he then was tapped to be the lead finance consultant for Governor DeSantis’ Inaugural Committee.
Rick Porter is a graduate of Rollins College and holds a B.A. in Political Science. He currently lives in Orlando with his wife and two sons.
