With nearly 20 years of experience in Florida politics ranging from the presidential to local levels, Rick Porter offers clients a deep understanding of the structure and driving forces that generate political finance.

Rick Porter started his career in politics in 2004 working for US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Mel Martinez in his bid for the United States Senate, where he gained fundamental experience at the grassroots level. Serving as a Deputy Regional Field Director, Porter created relationships with community leaders, elected officials, and campaign staff to organize a strong ground game for Martinez's campaign.

After helping Martinez achieve victory in the 2004 election, Porter became a staff assistant in Senator Martinez's state headquarters in Orlando. In this role Porter gained experience working on the “inside” of a government office, where he engaged in outreach-oriented constituent services, advanced events for the Senator, and spoke on his behalf at local community organizations.

In 2007, Porter returned to the campaign trail as Deputy Florida Finance Director for America's Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, in his bid for the White House. Porter assisted in organizing all fundraising activities in the State of Florida, forging key relationships with some of Florida's top fundraisers in the process. He also supervised high-profile events with Donald Trump, NASCAR, and former RPOF and RNC Finance Chairs.

After his time with the Giuliani campaign, Rick Porter cemented his reputation as one of Florida’s premiere fundraising aides, serving in Finance Director roles for several campaigns over the next few election cycles, including Bill Posey for Congress, Rick Perry for President, Jeff Brandes for State Senate, Jeff Atwater for Florida Chief Financial Officer, and Adam Hasner for Congress, the latter in which Porter raised over $3.3 million and coordinated all aspects of in-state and out-of-state fundraising.

Rick Porter also has experience in the non-profit fundraising space, serving as Senior Director of Development for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Central Florida Chapter in 2008. In this role, Rick was tasked with broadening the scope of development for CFF while managing events, staff, and significant gifts in the local community.

In 2016, Porter served as the Senior Finance Consultant for the Republican Party of Florida, where he managed the Party’s entire staff and fundraising apparatus. Under his leadership, the RPOF annual Statesman’s Dinner saw the largest attendance in the past decade.

Most recently, Porter served as the lead finance consultant on Ron DeSantis for Governor, leading a team of professionals that raised over $53 million in the General Election alone.  Following the success of the election, he was then tapped to serve as the Lead Finance Consultant for Governor DeSantis’ Inaugural Committee.

Rick Porter is a graduate of Rollins College and holds a B.A. in Political Science. He currently lives in Orlando with his wife and two sons.
